Customize UAC in windows Vista / 7

UAC stands for user account control and it was introduced in windows vista. Its function is control unauthorized changes in windows and so enhances the security. Every time you install a program or execute a program the UAC prompt will pop up in your screen for requesting permission to execute the program. It has become too annoying and learning from its mistake Microsoft improved the UAC of windows 7 to a great extend. Now you can customize UAC in windows 7 according to your need instead of disabling it completely.

Disable/Turn Off UAC In Windows Vista

1.     Click on Start and then go to Control Panel

2.     Click on User Accounts and now click on Make changes to your user account

3.     Select Turn User Account Control on or off

4.     It will give you a prompt asking for your permission. Click continue.

5.     Now Uncheck the box Use User account Control (UAC) to protect your computer

6.     Restart your system and that’s it.

 

Disable/Turn off UAC in Windows 7

To Disable UAC in windows & the procedure is almost same as described above  but after step 2 you will get the option change User Account Control settings

Upon clicking on change User Account Control settings option you will get a slider

By Moving this Slider you can customize the UAC as per your needs.
